It’s that time of year again! As 2018 gets started, we at Vifloor Canada are taking a moment to pause and look back at a successful and exciting 2017.
Here are some of our favourite commercial carpet, commercial matting, home carpet and area rug installations from last year. We hope you enjoy the work as much as we did!
The corridors at Friday Harbour Resort, designed by Tanner Hill Associates Inc.
Vifloor’s Super Series winter matting at Streetcar Developments’ The Carlaw. The Carlaw is part of a mixed-use development managed by Crossbridge Condominium Services. The use of a light colour for the field and darker colour for the border created a clean look accented by two logos flanking the reception desk.
“My client’s home in Toronto had a beautiful Hollywood staircase in need of an equally beautiful stair runner. I choose Vifloor’s product Paris, a style from their Cortenaer Wool Carpet running line. It’s a wool product, so it will stand the test of time, with a sophisticated lustre thread running through it to give the right amount of glam for this house and staircase,” said Garna M. Tracy of Creative Colour Works.
An installation at Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport meeting rooms, designed by Moncur Design Associates.
A pre-function area of Toronto’s famous Fairmont Royal York hotel, featuring Vifloor’s 40 ounce Eco Evolution custom print.
A great job by Tri-Can Contract Inc. at St. Gabriel Terraces in Toronto’s North York area.
When using a 100% New Zealand wool, hand tufted custom runner by Vifloor, there is no limit to design! Regina Sturrock of Regina Sturrock Design Inc. used an animal print design for her client’s basement stair runner.
Colliers International Canada opened up their new head office at 181 Bay Street in Toronto with a punch of colour. figure3 created a few seating areas within their reception and lobby area. To differentiate the areas, four 100% New Zealand wool, hand tufted custom area rugs were made creating a beautifully appointed first impression.
Using a Cortenaer Wool Carpet product, Stacy Begg of Stacy Begg Design was not shy about using a wide stripe on the angled staircase. With installation expertise of Millenia Flooring Design, they successfully matched up the stripes going down the stairs. With each turn, the corners were mitered to provide a continuous stripe. Stacy used Vermont, colour #122 which blends soft greys, beiges and creams for this urban stripe.
At the offices of Obelysk Inc., a private equity firm, is a unique and contemporary custom area rug. Designed by figure3, this 8’ diameter circular area rug with a geometric pattern and shades of grey lends itself to this modern-day reception area.
